A healthcare organization in Riyadh was managing devices entirely ad-hoc. Procurement was handled by individual department heads with no standard models or process. When an employee left, devices were sometimes wiped manually — and sometimes not at all. With sensitive patient data and PDPL (Personal Data Protection Law) obligations in Saudi Arabia, the gaps in their lifecycle process represented a serious compliance and data risk.

Logistructure designed and implemented a full procure-to-retire lifecycle program. We standardised procurement to two approved device models, built a staging and enrollment workflow in Intune, created a central asset inventory, and defined a certified secure wipe process with full audit trail for every device retirement.

Built an Intune-based staging process: every new device gets enrolled, configured, asset-tagged, and verified before it leaves the IT room.

Every device — laptop, tablet, or phone — is now tracked in a central inventory linked to Intune, showing current user, location, compliance status, and lifecycle stage.

Certified secure wipe process
Defined a retirement workflow: Intune remote wipe, followed by physical verification, with a compliance certificate generated for each device — defensible under PDPL.

Quarterly lifecycle reviews
Established a quarterly review cadence to flag ageing devices, plan replacements, and keep the inventory accurate — shifting the team from reactive to planned hardware management.
